Denver Isn’t Keeping Up with an Economic Boom

As a native of Denver, I was interested in this video because I’ve seen Denver grow alot. I left in 2014 but every time I go back the city has morphed and changed. Denver is the kind of place that is really a small town with skyscrapers and most people who live there like the fact that Denver was the city that wasn’t really a city. However, that is now changing. The trouble is that people don’t want to deal with city problems. This has led to a certain political stickiness that has left Denver without meaningful solutions to the very real problems its faces. There is a housing crisis, drug crisis and other problems that just aren’t being addressed. It is easy to blame Democrats for bad governance but I have to say that it is a cultural issue. People move to Denver to escape big cities and their issues. Now that Denver is a big city with big city issues, many folks want to ignore the problems before their very eyes.
