The Environmental Devastation of Socialism

There are many people that believe that in order to fight climate change, we need massive government action and we need a complete change in government to a more socialist type of system. As readers know, I’m a big fan of democratic socialism. I believe that the wealth and resources of a country should be used to benefit everyone, not just the privileged few. I believe that a good society is one where everyone enjoys a basic standard of living and that is guaranteed by the society in which they live for the betterment of everyone. In this video, socialism is repudiated for its environmental record by showing how China and the Soviet Union were not good stewards of the environment and uses these examples of how central planning only makes things worse, not better.
