The End of The State

Over the past 45 years, the GOP has consistently attacked the administrative state that keeps out society going. Since Reagan was elected in 1980, every President has assiduously signed away regulations that had been put in under FDR and Truman. Instead of trying to make government more helpful and more efficient, the American ethos of “less government” and “limited government” (talking points from regressive thinkers in the 1950s) have been an excuse to let our society get worse and worse. In a set of Supreme Court cases that are coming through, the power of the EPA and other agencies is slowly being stripped away. In this video from Ari Velshi, we see how the administrative state is being attacked and how it might begin to really effect our lives in a meaningful way.
