I know a few people will be questioning why I am posting something from Darkhorse Podcast. Bret Weinstein and his brother are famous for starting what many people call the Intellectual Dark Web. Bret has promoted the lab-leak theory regard Covid and was one of the first people to promote the use of Ivermectin as a preventative measure against Covid-19. However, this video has to do with questioning authority and consensus. This is something I still agree with in principal.
I recently posted a tweet about my own hesitancy with the vaccine and why I eventually got vaccinated for Covid-19. I’ve been encouraging my friends to get vaccinated as well. Bret and Heather both are authorities in their field and often question scientific consensus. This is still a good thing to do. I encourage people to look at the data and talk to other people about the vaccine. Questioning information is essential in life. Thinking critically is still a good thing and great way to avoid group think.
In this video, Bret and Heather talk about this very topic using a familiar Dr. Seuss story as an example of why we should take in information, think about it, and then act.
