Long-time readers know that I love old buildings and architecture. So when I came across this video about the Singer tower I was intrigued. This delightful building with its lovely victorian exterior and wonderful masonry was just beautiful. It’s since been torn down because of that same masonry. It was a sort of in-between structure after the short-rise buildings had reached their heights but before the steel and glass structures like the Empire State Building would be constructed.

In this video, we explore this lovely building, its construction, and why it was torn down.
