I Think Obama Finally Gets It

In this video, we have a 45-minute interview with the former president, and it is wide-ranging. Normally, I wouldn’t post something like this, but he makes so many admissions about his no-good-very-bad-presidency. I think he really understands that many of the problems we now face are due to his complete lack of governance for eight years and how his policy, or lack thereof, caused a variety of problems. At the time, he didn’t seem to really get it, and even in the first years after they were out of office, he didn’t seem to understand what he had really done.

In this interview, which I recommend you listen to, he really draws some lines from our present issues through Trump and to his own time in office. It is a clarity that I had never heard from him before. I’m rather disappointed that we aren’t getting more traction on this because I think there are many lessons for democrats and the current administration in this talk.
