Europe, Ukraine, Russia and Gas

In this video, Steven Fry walks us through the nature of the crisis in Ukraine. His argument is simple: if Europe is serious about helping Ukraine, they would stop buying Russian gas. While his point is well-taken, Europe can’t exactly cut itself off from Russia without serious consequences. Since this video came out, Europe has committed to reducing oil imports by the end of the year but there’s no movement on gas so far.
