Rents too high? Can’t afford housing? Just move somewhere cheaper…This is a common fallacy that is promoted online anytime someone complains about the cost of housing. However, that is not a solution for most people. There are many factors to consider like childcare, housing availability and jobs available. It is easy to tell people in cities and elsewhere to just move but the reality is far more complicated. Cities are in-demand for a reason. There are jobs, a social scene, and resources that most small towns just don’t offer. It can be an option for some but it is not for everyone.
