Why would anyone work under socialism? This video is here to answer that very question. In both the Soviet Union and China, work was still vital and important. This is especially true for essential tasks. In the Soviet Union, wages were set by the government, and anyone who could work did so across various industries, especially during Stalin’s industrialization push in the 1930s. There is plenty of reason to work under socialism, and keeping people employed is an important aspect of making a socialist society work well. The point of socialism is to share the success with everyone and not just the owners of capital. Socialism doesn’t mean that we all laze about and do nothing. In this video, we learn more about socialist theory and how important labor is under socialism.
