When you think of New York City, you’ll probably think of Manhattan’s skyscrapers and Broadway’s bright lights first, but not too far away from all that – just a subway ride in fact – is Williamsburg, Brooklyn, a neighborhood bursting with culture, unique shops, delicious food, and an atmosphere that’s like nowhere else. With that in mind, here are some of the reasons why Williamsbury is a must-visit on your NYC trip – read on to find out more.
Unique And Artistic
Williamsburg is a place artists love to visit and it really shows – the area is full of colorful murals, indie art galleries, and studios where local creators can enjoy bringing their ideas to life in fabulous and exciting ways.
That means you can spend hours wandering around and you’re sure to just stumble upon some amazing art no matter where you go – it’s on every corner. And if you want to dive deeper, you can head over to specific galleries like the Boiler or Front Room to see some really interesting work from up and coming artists.
Stunning Hotels
If you’re planning to spend a night or two, you’ll find some truly amazing hotels in Williamsburg Brooklyn that let you really feel like you’re part of some pretty impressive New York views. You can find hotels with rooftop bars and incredible skyline views, as well as plenty of luxury in the rooms themselves, so it’s definitely a good idea to take a look at what’s on offer.
Plus, when you choose Williamsburg as your base, you’ll be close enough to everything you want to do but still be able to escape the busy city to relax, so it’s the best of both worlds.
Convenient Location
Following on from the point we made above, one of the best reasons to pick Williamsburg as either a base or a day trip is that it’s in such a convenient location for the rest of New York. It’s only one subway stop from Manhattan, so it’s easy to go back and forth (and not too expensive, either), and you can enjoy everything the area has to offer.
Of course, once you get to Williamsburg, you might not actually want to go anywhere else because it does have pretty much everything you need – you’ll be able to enjoy NYC from a different perspective, and that’s really exciting, especially if you like to try new things or stray from the standard tourist path once in a while.
One-Of-A-Kind Treasures
If you’re into unique, handcrafted things or vintage treasures, Williamsburg has plenty of boutiques and flea markets to wander around where you’ll find everything from local designers to rare vinyl records and handmade jewelry – basically, if you want something, this is the place to find it.
And if you need to take a break while you’re treasure hunting, there are countless cafes and coffee shops all over the place that will be perfect – or what about some of the street food vendors where you can try something you’ve never tasted before? There are definitely plenty of those in Williamsburg.
