The Astrology of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard

The Johnny Depp / Amber Heard defamation civil trail had attained front page media attention in recent days as many celebrity relationship controversies have historically. These have included Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and even as far back as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. As a Relationship Compatibility Astrologer, I have had an inherent curiosity into the astrological relationship issues revealed in the charts of these celebrities as real life evidence and corroboration of their personal growth issues.

    For over 30 years, as a master astrologer, I have been demonstrating to my clients the real depth and accuracy one’s astrological chart can reveal about one’s personal growth / healing issues associated with their karma and how that is manifest in relationships for better or worse.  Is there a basis for evolving love, trust and intimacy?

It is not simply an exposition of their astrology revealing evidence of their lack of compatibility, but a deeper example of the karmic Mother Wound that many are needing to heal in this society and how if not addressed through psychological / spiritual growth, can be toxic and lead to conflict if not violence and abuse in a relationship. This was revealed in the trial of Depp vs Heard and also confirmed in their astrology charts.

     The most significant indicators of ones approach to relationships in an astrology chart are the positions of the Sun, Moon, and Venus.  The Moon by sign especially summarizes the experience one has had with ones mother as a result of ones own karmic predominant personality and emotional awareness from prior lifetimes.  

      Johnny Depp has his moon position in Capricorn which in general implies that his mother may have  been a dutiful materialistic provider but may have been emotionally unavailable and not a role model for emotional awareness and boundaries for self care.

For many with Moon in Capricorn it implies emotional fulfillment associated with one’s career, public service, work and external approval with varying degrees of lack of awareness of one’s deeper emotional needs and spiritual center.  

    The quality of ones’ mother’s role modeling especially in regard to relationships is most exemplified by the position of Venus in one’s chart. Johnny Depp has Venus in Taurus (Capricorn decanate) in a karmically adverse t-square to Saturn on one side and Mars /Uranus Virgo on the other. 

This aspect implies that he may have come from a poor or materialistically deprived background and that his experience with his mother inculcated the value of ambition, material gain, upwardly mobile status, and romantic relationships that would enhance his career, and social stature.  For some this can imply, a lack of sincere awareness of the values that would nurture each others well being in a partnership and be more about the desire for a “Trophy Wife”.  The Mars/Uranus  aspect implies, that due to a lack of emotional maturity and discernment as well as an emphasis on external appearances,  Depp may have an excessive emphasis on his physical attraction and the quality of his sexual experience as a delusion basis for experiencing “love’. Yet a deep fear of commitment and emotional vulnerability.

Johnny Depp’s astrology chart reveals a classic example of a man with a Mother Wound.

A man coming from a karma of emotional deprivation and a materialistic proclivity to sexual addiction. Amber Heard has the Moon in Libra in her astrology chart which on the surface implies a mother who was more engaged socially with relationships. It implies a karma of one who would be seeking emotional fulfillment through participating in the trends of culture, fashion, and aspects of contemporary enhancements of beauty and sociability. 

However, due to the double focal t-square to  Mars/ Neptune to the Moon and Mercury, Amber, may have experienced severe episodes of abandonment and/or abuse in a dysfunctional family environment. The aspect implies a mother who may have engaged in alcoholism or drug abuse and may have been at time verbally abusive if not violent.

She may have also experience abuse, teasing, or bullying from siblings or others in her childhood. In essence, lack of favorable emotional role modeling from mother.

Unless Amber Heard in her adult life embraced psychotherapy, 12 step programs like Alan-on, woman’s group sharing, and/or a moral compass evolved through a spiritual path and practice: This severe karmic aspect implies one who could be extremely reactive emotionally, one who might engage in drug addiction or alcoholism, one who could be intensely perceptive of others vulnerabilities, verbally abusive as well as potentially highly resentful and vindictive when offended, to even a violent extent.  It also implies one who could be an extraordinary actor and/or a convincing pathological liar.

In an astrological relationship compatibility comparison,  Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have almost exactly the same position of Venus in Taurus with the similar interpretation of basing a relationship on social and materialistic status. However, the crux of the defamation lawsuit really grows out to the extremely adverse placement Johnny Depp’s Moon in Capricorn right in the center of the above described Amber Heard Moon Libra t-square.  

In general, Moon in Capricorn is incompatible with Moon in Libra.  Johnny would actually be the more shy and reserved compared to Ambers aggressive and reactive emotional impulsivity.   In most relationship compatibility readings this would indicate

2 people who would have personality clashes, lack of emotional rapport and have serious challenges living together and establishing a harmonious domestic environment.

This is further exemplified by simply indicating each of their Chinese Astrology year of birth.  Depp 1963 Year of Water Rabbit  and Heard  1986 Year of Fire Tiger
