Back in the middle part of the last decade, Buzzfeed ruled the internet and social media. They were as big as Upworthy (another big loss) and their content was everywhere until it wasn’t. Buzzfeed even opened up a hard news division to counter their thin, listicles that had become so popular. They made the careers of several creators that are still popular but now they don’t enjoy nearly so much influence or popularity. As it turns out, the world of media is pretty fickle. So how did Buzzfeed manage to lose it all? In this video, we find out what happened.
