In the midst of the invasion, much of Ukraine’s civil war has been fought by and with some critical far-right groups like the Azov Battalion. These groups have mobilized militias, training camps, and even have training camps for children in the country. Far-right groups are in government and the government that the US is currently defending with sanctions is also allied with these groups. Europe’s far-right problem is already blowing up in Hungary, France, Italy, and the UK. Ukraine, like many other conflicts around the world, is attracting foreign fighters and with a Russian invasion, more foreign fighters will stream into the region on both sides. Given the current environment, the more about this conflict the better.
