It’s summer, and many tourists want to spend their days lazing on the beach or enjoying a few indoor activities. Traveling as a true lover of the great outdoors can be irritating during these periods, as there are some spoken and unspoken limitations on when you can travel, where to go, and even what to prioritize when sightseeing. Luckily, it’s not impossible to make that trip with the right guide. If you’re thinking about your next road trip travel destination, check out these five hotspots offering you scenery and flexibility all year round.
- New Zealand
If you’re looking for a chill-out travel spot that is filled with nature and is vast enough to enjoy with your loved ones, you should consider a New Zealand trip. Traveling to New Zealand is the perfect excuse to get campervans for hire, move halfway away from home to sit cozily around the campfire with friends as you stargaze and have an honest discussion. There is something for everyone in New Zealand, with their equally unique south and north islands. From the north to the south, the experiences are so vastly different that you could spend an entire holiday taking it all in.
- Cabot Trail, Nova Scotia
The Cabot Trail is one of the most beautiful parts of Nova Scotia, and journeying through this trail, found in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, is arguably one of the best things any outdoor traveler can do over the holidays. This trail boasts a wide selection of wildlife, from bald eagles to black bears and moose. It also teaches visitors about the true Scottish and French cultures that influenced and continue to influence Nova Scotia through its charming villages spread along the trail.
- West Coast, USA
Exploring the west coast in the summer is an amazing experience. California is the city of the sun, and with warm weather, making your way to some of its national parks, especially Yosemite National Park, should be on your list.
In addition to national parks, there are other great sceneries such as the Sierra Nevada, which has some of the most beautiful water bodies, the naturally occurring hot springs in Oregon, and the beaches of California. The best time for such a trip is between June and September.
- The Canadian Rockies
The Rocky Mountain Range of British Columbia possesses magic only those who have visited can attest to. From the alpine lakes to the beautiful, overwhelming glaciers, this scenery perfectly exhibits the Canadian wilderness and its beauty. Make your way deeper into the heart and soul of the mountain range by driving through the Banff and Jasper National Parks, taking in the magnificence of the scenery along the way.
- Bollenstreek Route, Netherlands
The Bollenstreek route is also known to many as the Bulb route. This is one of the ultimate nature-loving destinations in the Netherlands, especially during spring weather. The route features a bold rainbow of breathtaking foliage, with brightly colored flowers that seem to go on and on into the horizon. Expect more than the iconic Netherland tulip. There’ll be narcissi, hyacinths, irises, and even dahlias, to name a few.
There’s never a shortage of beautiful road-trip hotspots to explore, enjoy, and make new memories. Hopefully, this post had provided you with lots of ideas and travel inspiration.
