Hello! Welcome to The Cameron Journal! You might have noticed some major changes. Here are a few of the changes going on around here at The Cameron Journal:

New URL

For many years, I was working off of CameronCowan.net. I lost the .com version of my name in my early 20s and I have been unable to get it back from the fellow who now owns it. So I came up with a work around. If you have me bookmarked, you might want to change your bookmark to avoid the redirect.

Bookstore and Bookstore Update!

For long-time readers, you may be wondering what the hell The Widgery Reading Boutique is and why it’s on the menu bar. Last year I decided to start my own bookstore. I had a problem. I wanted to find really interesting new indie books but Amazon wasn’t helping me out in the recommendations department at all. So I decided that if I was looking for new indie books, others might be looking for those as well. I also knew that people wanted the same online ordering convenience as Amazon. So I went to work and The Widgery Reading Boutique was born! The exciting thing is that there is a huge bookstore update happening very soon. I’m launching over 200 new titles from small press publishers and authors I’ve contacted online. So please keep an eye here for the latest updates. I will be sending out a special email when the new bookstore is live so if you aren’t signed up for my email list, now would be a great time to do that. The Cameron Journal Podcast

For 2 years, I produced a weekly podcast version of The Cameron Cowan Show. When I closed the show, that was one of the things that people missed the most. I’m happy to announce that I’m bringing back my popular weekly news podcast. It is already beginning to air episodes on all your favorite podcast services. Just search for “The Cameron Journal Podcast.”

What The Hell is Going On?

Over the past 5 years, I produced some important and comprehensive essays for this blog. I covered a variety of topics. When I was looking at relaunching after a 2 year hiatus, I knew that I wanted to do something with those essays. Thanks to the suggestion from Caitlin Matthews in the UK, I took all those essays together, created 2 brand new essays, and created my very first book, “What The Hell is Going on?”

“What the Hell is Going On?” will be hitting stores and my own store on October 1st! In this collection, I’ve included my blockbuster essays:

The best part is that I have broken down every section of the essays as well. So you can use the book as a guide book and jump around as you find something interesting. Each essay stands alone and does not have to be read in any particular order. It really is the best of The Cameron Cowan Show in a book.
