It Has Been a Long Week!

Welcome to The Cameron Journal! I’ve been making some significant changes recently. You’ll find that you’re receiving this via email and that the old newsletter has gone away. My weekly emails from Authory have gone away as well. This is simpler and (most importantly) cheaper!

I’ve moved everything over to my native platform on The Cameron Journal, and we’ll be going forward like this. Some articles (not many) will be emailed directly to you, and each week, I’ll write a weekly wrap-up with some of the best content from the week.

The Latest

Obviously, the big story this week was the stunning and complete win of Donald Trump and his return to the White House. As of this writing, I just completed recording The Cameron Journal Newshour.

There has been multiple conversations about what this all means, how everything is going to shake out and what really went wrong with the Harris campaign. I’ve been on the phone with people in various states of panic, duress, and trauma. I love that Black Twitter has basically check out of any sort of marching and protest movements. Black women are unhappy with the whole affair and much of the vitriol on the Democrat side has been thoroughly aimed at fellow Latinos and the Latino vote. It has been interesting to move through social channels over the last week.

In my opinion, based on what I’ve read from people, there is nothing Kamala Harris would have done or said that would have changed things. It was a coin flip at best and the reality is that this election was decided back in 2022 based on social issues and identity politics.

Please do watch the Newshour but I will say this, I hope that the MAGA agenda is implemented quickly and without resistance. I hope they enjoy rising prices, rising inflation and regressive social policies. It is quite obvious that this is what the American people want and I hope that they get exactly what they want as fast as possible.
