I wanted to remind everyone to have a very pleasant Thanksgiving this year. As this decade comes to a close, we all have to sit back and start to think about what we’ve done with the last 10 years. I’ll return to this topic in my New Year’s message. But today it’s important to be grateful that we’ve all made it another year and we can take time to enjoy some delicious food that we only have time to make once a year and hopefully enjoy the company of people that we care deeply about. This year thanksgiving is rather up in the air. I have a new girlfriend and live far from my family so I imagine she will concoct a plan. I’ve done Friendsgiving and I’ve also randomly traveled around to different celebrations. My favorite memory, that I also mentioned over at Rouges, was talking about the holiday to my European friends. All those stories in first-grade prepared me for the moment. As harvest holidays go, Thanksgiving isn’t too bad.

However, the real history behind Thanksgiving has always been mythical, mostly to cover up the real story behind the early European colonization of North America. I’m not going to get into that this year, instead, I’m going to leave you with a great skit from SNL. I love comedy and no one does this sort of thing like Saturday Night Live. Enjoy. Happy Thanksgiving.
