Tracking Hate: The Southern Poverty Law Center

In this video from John Stossel, he is talking about the Southern Poverty Law Center who tracks various hate groups around the country. Obviously, some right-wing organizations come under scrutiny by the SPLC. Groups that are against LGBT rights or promote dubious racial ideas all end up on the SPLC list of hate groups. The list gives a severity score and how active they are in various issues. The list also shows how dangerous they are. It tracks both organizations and individuals. This might seem like a good idea (and I think it is) but for some on the right, it has become a sort of scarlet letter that they say simply isn’t fair. Let’s explore with John Stossel on this issue.
