Biden Can’t Get it Right on Marijuana

For being the frontrunner, Joe Biden is surprisingly tone-deaf on Cannabis legalization. This isn’t surprising given his record on drugs and marijuana and his leadership in the 1994 Crime Bill. That being said, Biden could look around the country and see that the march of legalization at the state level is on the increase and almost all states have medical marijuana available. However, Biden can’t seem to update his views and be progressive on this issue that not only is a winner for democrats but its broadly popular nationwide. It is always said when a politician can’t catch a popular wave on an issue.
