In this fun vintage video, we see New York as a dream of the past when 5th ave was an actual shopping district frequented by the better people of the city. Before tourism was really a thing, there were real stores offering real goods and not a “I Love New York” t-shirt in sight. In this video you can see Rockefeller Center, the Empire State building, and the original House of Revlon. And yes, people really did used to go to Revlon and spend hours in the salon getting their hair and nails done. It was a real thing that happened. This who video is like a dream of a world that is far gone and never to return.
