Scheduling

I like to work each of my clients every two weeks. Two weeks gives each person time to accomplish their goals while also dealing with the other areas of life. Life can get in the way of writing projects. Ideally, we will work together every two weeks but I do realize that some people will need some alternative scheduling so I will do my best to maintain flexibility with each person.

Please arrive on-time 

I practice the 50 minute hour. I will begin ending the session around 10 minutes to the hour so that we have time to get clear on your goals, make any final notes, and ask any last minute questions. Arriving on time ensures that I can spend the maximum time with you and you can get the maximum value. It is also good practice for creating your dedicated time and space to write!

How to make the best use of our time together

Make sure that your files are available and open. If you’re working in word, scrivener, or evernote please have those documents open before our session begins. If you’re working with google docs please have your document open in its own tab before your session begins.
Take notes by any means necessary (recordings available!)
Plan your goals for next two week period
Try to have as quiet and dedicated space as possible.

While I do love to see your dogs, cats, and reptiles, they aren’t always helpful during our work together. I would ask that you do your best to make your space quiet and ready for work. Don’t be intimidated, I know that pets, kids, and errant spouses can appear during a session!

Please note: I’m a pretty affable guy but I am neurodivergent, so if I do something, say something, or miss a social cue please do not hesitate to be direct about it. I will course-correct right away. That being said, I have been a professional person since I was 17 years old and I usually don’t have any trouble with people.
